Portraits of concentration — the face people make when they forget they're being watched.
The challenge. Personal work with a public purpose: a series for the studio wall and the journal that shows what attention looks like. Artists mid-process don't pause — the camera had to keep up without interrupting.
The approach. One soft key light, one warm practical, and long lenses from the corner of the room. I shot over six hours and spoke maybe twenty words — the best frames are the ones where nobody noticed the shutter.
