Maya and Jon wanted nothing posed — so we built the shoot around their actual Saturday.
The challenge. They'd deleted every engagement photo they'd saved as reference — "too stiff, too perfect." The brief was a feeling, not a look: unguarded, warm, a little windswept.
The approach. Coffee at their corner spot, a walk through the park where they got engaged, and rooftop portraits at sunset. I shot mostly on a 35mm lens, close enough to hear them, far enough to disappear — prompts instead of poses the whole way.
